EDWARDS DIES TODAY AT RURAL RESIDENCE Mrs. Ella Edwards, 77, living for 40 years in Denison and connected with her husband in the grocery business, died Thursday morning following a short illness. Death came at her rural home where she had been living for the past 7 months. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday morning at 10 o'clock from the Short-Murray chapel with interment at West Hill cemetery, Sherman, Short-Murray will direct. Mrs. Edwards was born in Wavely, Tennessee October 31, 1859, her parents being Mr. and Mrs. J.D. Rowland. Her education was received in the city where she also was married to John A. Edwards. They came to Denison about 40 years ago and entered the grocery business at 421 S. Mirick avenue. They retired a few years ago and moved to San Diego, California, returning to Sherman at which place Mrs. Edwards has made her home in Sherman until removing to her country home November 5, of this year. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. A.B. Minter, Port Arthur; and 2 brothers, J.W. Roland, Denison; and J.D. Rowland, Pottsboro; sisters, Mrs. D.V. Moots, Denison; and Mrs. J.W. Lee, Oklahoma City.
