Tuesday, September 5, 1916 pg. 5 MRS. ELIZABETH STARK DEAD Passes Away at the Home of Her Daughter, Mrs. Henry Hughes Mrs. Elizabeth J. Stark, 77 years of age, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Henry Hughes, 7 miles west of Sherman, last night at 8:25 o'clock. Funeral services were held at the residence at 2 o'clock this afternoon, conducted by Dr. T.A. Wharton, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, and burial was in West Hill cemetery. Haynes & Sporer of this city had charge of the funeral arrangements. Mrs. Stark had resided in Texas for 42 years. She was a native of Illinois, and came from that state to Texas. Her husband died 35 years ago. Mrs. Stark is survived by the following children: Mrs. Kem of San Francisco; Mrs. W.S. Burnett of Gainesville; Mrs. R.A. Pope of Ft. Worth; Mrs. Henry Hughes, of Grayson county; W.J. Stark and W. Stark of Kansas City.
