 West Hill Cemetery Sherman, Texas  Zada Blanton Bowling 19 December 1888 - 15 February 1984 David Elijah Blanton 20 September 1877 - 31 March 1921 Sherman Democrat February 16, 1984 pg B9 ZADA BOWLING Collinsville - Services for Mrs. Zada Bowling, 95-year-old Collinsville housewife who died Wednesday at Medical Plaza Hospital in Sherman, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Huff Funeral Chapel in Whitesboro. The Rev. Carroll Coddell will officiate and burial will be in West Hill Cemetery in Sherman. Mrs. Bowling was born in Texas, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sigel Creech, and married George Bowling in August 1924 in Sherman. She was a Methodist and a member of the Order of Eastern Star. She served 10 years as a grandmother for the State School in Denton. Surviving are her sons, Henry Arthur Blanton of Fort Worth, Virgil Blanton of Collinsville and David W. Blanton of Bakersfield, Calif.; daughter, Mrs. Paul (Edna) Johnson of Forney; half-sister, Ada King of Haltom City; five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday. (Zada Creech Bowling, widow of David Elijah Blanton, married George Bowling in August 1924.)
