March 8, 1942 Page 13 Grocer Had Been Ill Several Days Paul W. Yeager, 58, financial secretary of the Central Christian church, died Friday at 10:45 p.m. at a local hospital following an illness of 10 days. He resided at 311 West Moore. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at the church, with the Rev. Robert L. Badgett, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in West Hill cemetery, directed by Talley. The body will remain at his late home until time of services. Mr. Yeager was born Dec. 6, 1883 in Hunt county, a son of P. C. and Laurea E. Wright Yeager. He had been a resident of Sherman 20 years. Mr. Yeager was employed as bookkeeper at the old Neathery clinic for years, and has operated a grocery store at 712 South Elm in recent years. He had been a deacon at the Central Christian church for 11 years. He was married to Miss Clara Melton in Sherman in 1928 who survives. Survivors include his wife; a son, Paul Ray Yeager of Sherman; two daughters, Mrs. Robert L. Passmore of Lincoln, Neb., and Mrs. L. L. Jones of Omaha, Neb.; two brothers, E. W. Yeager of Gunter and C. L. Yeager of Whitesboro; a sister, Ms. Roy Blankenship of Sherman; and a granddaughter. Pallbearers will be E. W. Yeager, Carl Yeager, Wayne Yeager, Roy Blankenship, Owen Blankenship and Mort Melton. Honorary pallbearers will be officers of the church.
