MRS. SALLIE YOUNG, 79, IS BURIED SATURDAY
Mrs. Sallie Young, 79, died in the Collinsville care home Wednesday
of last week, following an illness that had lasted during the past two
years. She formerly lived in Whitesboro.
Funeral services were held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. in the Richards
Chapel. Rev. H.D. Freeman, pastor, officiated.
Pallbearers were Hank Lovejoy, Billy Frank Mayo, Randy Hamilton,
Gary Hamilton, Jack Young and Walter Shwadlenak.
Burial was in Westhill cemetery, Sherman.
Mrs. Young was born April 22, 1888, in Dexter, the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. John Shwadlenak. She married Sidney J. Young in 1908 at
Dexter.
She was a member of the Baptist church.
Surviving relatives include three sons, W.B. Young of Whitesboro,
John G. Young of Glendora, Calif., and Sidney D. Young of Pomona, Calif.;
two daughters, Mrs. Mildred Pickle of Dallas and Mrs. Louise Hamilton of
cleburne; a brother, Albert Shwadlenak of Delaware Bend; a sister, Miss
Lillie Shwadlenak, also of the Delaware Bend area; 14 grandchildren and
16 great-grandchildren.
