Clyde Iles, 67, died suddenly at his home, 319 West Jones, at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete pending the arrival of a son, Glen Iles of Chicago, Illinois. Dr. J.A. Ellis, pastor of First Baptist Church, will conduct the services and burial will be in West Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Allen Blake, Henry Kidd, Kenneth Broughton, Ray Dacon, Erwin Jamison, and Elbert Dennis.
Barrett Funeral Home is in charge.
He was born August 19, 1883 in Sherman, the son of J.W. and Ida Kerr Iles. He was married to Miss Jessie Cooper on Dec. 5, 1918 in Sherman. He was an employee of Hardwicke-Etter Co. for the past 33 years and worked for the American Railway Express Co. prior to that time.
Mr. Iles was a member of the First Baptist Church and was a member of the Masonic Lodge, the Blue Lodge and Shrine for 42 years.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Jessie Iles; a daughter, Miss Gene Iles, Sherman, a son, Glen Iles, Chicago, Ill., a sister, Mrs. J.R. Garland, Sherman.

Graveside services for Mrs. Jessie "Mimi" Iles, 88-year-old lifelong Sherman area resident who died Thrusday at Hilltop Haven in Gunter, will be held Monday in West Hill Cemetery.
Dr. Leroy Howe of Perkins School of Theology in Dallas and Dr. Ben Marshall of the First United Methodist Church of Richardson will officiate. Arrangements are by Dannel Funeral Home.
Mrs. Iles was born in Sanger, a daughter of Charles and Bertha Della Pierce Cooper, and married John Clyde Iles in 1918 in Sherman.
She attended Sherman schools and at one time was employed by Napin Abstract Co. in Sherman. She later was associated with Dr. William R. Fackler in Richardson. She was a life member and past worthy matron of Carpenters Chapter Order of Eastern Star and a membr of the First Baptist Church.
Surviving are her son, Robert Glenn Iles of Madison, Wis.; daughter, Mrs. William Jacob Jr. of Richardson; sister, Myrtle Lair of Richardson; and five grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Dr. W.R. Fackler, Norwood Bond, Richard Spies and Calvin Dittemore.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Maple Ministry, First United Methodist Church of Richardson.
