October 19, 1918 INFLUENZA EPIDEMIC (Special to The News) Sherman, Texas, Oct. 18 - There was a decrease in the number of influenza cases here in the last twenty-four hours, although there were several deaths from influenza and pneumonia. Among the deaths are: Rolfe G. Bowman, aged 39, manager of the Central Cafe, who died at noon today, leaving a wife and two sons; his parents and three brothers.
