Sherman Democrat January 10, 1947 Funeral services for Mrs. Emily Wright, 91, a former Sherman resident who died at her home in Dallas Thursday, were held at 11 a.m. today in the Guardian Funeral Home, Dallas. Burial services were to be held at 2 p.m. today in the West Hill Cemetery, conducted by the Rev. Ed Barcus. Ballard-Barrett Funeral Home was to have charge of local arrangements. Born Aug. 6, 1855 in Tennessee, she was married to Charles L. Wright, who died in Sherman Sept. 9, 1911. Following her husband's death, she moved to Dallas to make her home with a daughter, Miss Grace Wright. She came to Sherman in 1897. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. M. O. Andrews of Seguin and Miss Wright of Dallas; a grandson and one granddaughter.
