West Hill Cemetery Sherman, Texas J.G. RIley 3 March 1845 - 16 May 1906
The Denison Daily Herald Thursday, May 17, 1906 pg. 3 NECROLOGICAL Sherman, Texas, May 16 - J.G. RIley, 62, died this morning at 4 o'clock at his home, No. 303 South Walnut street, after an illness of several months. Death was due to stomach trouble and a complication of diseases. The funeral services will be conducted tomorrow morning from the residence by Rev. Harris of the Key Memorial Methodist Church, of which the decedent was a member. Mr. Riley had lived in Sherman and Grayson County for 18 years. For a number of years he has been unable to engage actively in business on account of his health. He was a native of Kentucky. He leaves a wife and 5 children, one son and 4 daughters. One daughter lives in Oklahoma, one in Kentucky. Mrs. Lena Akers resides near Sherman and the fourth daughter, Mrs. Victoria Dennis, resides in this city. The son, Sam Riley, is a resident of Sherman. Sherman Daily Democrat Monday, December 2, 1912 pg. 5 Mrs. Boss Riley, aged 33 years, died yesterday morning at 8:30 o'clock at the residence near the end of South Travis Street. Pellagra was the cause of death and she had been quite ill for about a month. The funeral will be this afternoon at 3 o'clock from the residence and interment at West HilL Cemetery Mr. Riley is in the grocery businesss on South Travis street. Besides the husband, the deceased is survived by a little daughter, Mildred; also by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.P. Gunn, a sister and two brothers.
