November 28, 2011 JoAnn Winegarden of Tom Bean departed this life on November 23, leaving behind many loved ones and friends. JoAnn was born June 21, 1933 in Ector. She was Salutatorian of the Ector High School Class of 1950 and lived in Sherman for many years. JoAnn was a vibrant soul who loved to sew and always took care of those around her. An avid cook, JoAnn always had a place at her table for all those she knew. She loved visiting with friends on the telephone and restoring her beautiful country home. Her parents, Christine and Sidney Woodruff; her brothers, Bobby and Johnny Woodruff and previous husbands, Robert Magers and Tom Holman preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, Dave Winegarden, of Tom Bean; brother, Don Woodruff of Bells; sons, Rick Magers and wife, Connie, of Tom Bean; Dan Magers and wife, Tabitha, of Farmersville; and step-sons, Mike and Mark Winegarden. She had 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Graveside services were held Monday afternoon, November 28 at West Hill Cemetery, Sherman. Services were under the direction of Dannel Funeral Home. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Home Hospice of Grayson County, Sherman, Texas.
