Only 23 June 1932 - 30 November 2001  The Herald Democrat September 5, 2013 Sherman - Ida Bell Onley, 79, passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at Texas Health Presbyterian/WNJ. Graveside services were scheduled for Friday morning, September 6, 2013 at West Hill Cemetery with Pastor Herlon Summer of First Assembly of God in Denison, Texas officiating. Mrs. Onley was born June 28, 1934 in Luella, Texas, daughter of Jack Lawrence and Dona B. Russell Lawrence. She married Melvin Onley December 23, 1976. She was a long-time resident of Sherman and had worked in food services at Austin College for more than 25 years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt to all her family. She loved life and helping people whenever she could. Mrs. Onley is survived by her sons, Ronnie Clevenger and wife, Beverly; Jimmy Clevenger and wife, Teri; and David Clevenger, all of Sherman; 2 grandchildren, Patricia and Jason Clevenger, also of Sherman; 11 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family that will miss her dearly. She is predeceased by 2 children, Curtis Clevenger and Cindy White; brothers, Johnson Lawrence, J.L. Lawrence, Ross Lawrence, Jerry Lawrence and Les Lawrence; and one sister, Mary Frances McTee. Arrangements were under the direction of Dannel Funeral Home, Sherman.
