West Hill Cemetery Sherman, Texas Wm. H. Whiting died 25 May 1893 Aged 27 Yrs. The Sunday Gazetteer
May 28, 1893 SUICIDE AT SHERMAN Thursday morning at Sherman W.M. Whiting, a young man in the employ of a traveling photograph concern, shot himself through the head in his room at the residence of J.C. Williams, on South Crockett street. Death did not immediately follow, but he died at 9 o'clock. No cause can be found for the rash act, except that he was mentally unbalanced. His roommate says he has several times acted queer, and the manager of the company says that he suspected him of being crazy. He has a brother in Sherman with the same company. He lived in St. Louis and was a single man. West Hill Cemetery Elaine Nall Bay ©2022 If you find any of Grayson County TXGenWeb links inoperable, please send me a message. |
