 West Hill Cemetery Sherman, Texas   Sherman - Alvin Lynn White, 67, passed away Friday, April 22, 2016 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon, April 27, 2016 at Waldo Funeral Home. Burial followed at West Hill Cemetery, Sherman, Texas. Alvin was born in Sherman on April 6, 1959, son of Alvin Lee White and Evelyn Louise Griffith White. He was married to Carol Chapman on June 21, 1970 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Alvin served in the U.S. Navy on the U.S.S. Constellation during the Viet Nam Conflict. He enjoyed hunting when he was younger and raising chickens in his later years. Alvin retired from Union Pacific Railways where he had worked hard and enjoyed his time as a trackman. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather who spent his free time engaged in his family lives. Alvin is survived by his wife, 2 sons, 4 grandkids and 2 sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Beverly Jean Dodson.
