West Hill Cemetery Sherman, Texas A private funeral service w as held for Warren Curtis Oliver, Jr. at First Pentecostal Ch urch, Gainesville, Texas on May 28, 2013 at 11 a.m. Interment followed at West Hill Cemetery, Sherman, Texas. The family invites you to remain in prayer during this time of grief. As per Warren's wishes, a private quiet funeral was held for family and friends only. "What to do when you do not know what to do or say - just pray!" Go ahead and show heartfelt love to the Living! Warren was born June 9, 1942, son of Warren C. Oliver, Sr. and Creola Williams Oliver. He accepted Christ at an early age, was baptized at St. John Baptist Church, Grand Prairie, Texas in September 1945. Warren was an honor student at Dalworth High School where he graduated in May 1960. He played baseball, football and was a member of the high school band. He attended Arizona State University. He had an 18 years tenure at Pfizer Corp. and was one of Grand Prairie 's finest barbers for over 20 years. He became a member of Masonic Lodge #152 in 1972. He served as Worshipful Master for 15 years and was a dedicated member of the lodge. When Warren retired, he and Jacqueline were humanitarians who nurtured "Free Jeans N Books Ministry" according to Matthew 25:35-36. Warren and wife, Jacqueline Nellams Oliver relocated to Sherman, Texas in April 2012 where they fellowshipped with First Pentecostal Church, Gainesville, Texas. He was a trustee and member of the male chorus. He is survived by his father; his wife; son, Warren C. Oliver, III; brother, Benjamin Eugene Oliver; sisters: Debra Jo Oliver, Violet Rose Oliver Johnson, and Marianne Inez Oliver Wesley; special auant, Joyce Williams; grandmother-in-law, Bessie L. White Dozier; mother-in-law, Lennie D. Nellams; God-sisters: Maynell Scott and Norma Faye Richardson; God-Brother, Charles Thursby; special cousins: Susie Mae Thompson, Alice Marie Henderson, Alma Dean Williams; sisters-in-law: Barbara Allen and Terri Herring; brother-in-law: Rodney M. Nellams.
