Tuesday, February 28, 1939 pg. 3 DENISON 62-50-35 YEARS AGO by Dulce Murray February 28, 1889 - Louis Hirschfield died at his resident on West Jones Street, Sherman, Texas, Wednesday morning, February 27th. He had been ill with pneumonia for about 2 weeks, but his case was not considered critical until a few hours before his death. He had been a resident of Sherman for several years. Mr. Hirschfield was connected with the dry goods firm of Seasfeld & Co. in Denison a number of years ago. He is survived by his widow and 6 young children besides other relatives. Interment was made in Sherman in the Jewish Cemetery in Sherman, Texas.
