 West Hill Cemetery Sherman, Texas  James Edward Bloomer was born August 5, 1938 in Chigaco, Illinois; he passed away surrounded by his family at the age of 83 in Plano, Texas on Tuesday, October 12, 2021. James was a long-time educator of 37 years which began in 1963 with most of his educational career being spent in Plano Independent School District which he retired from in 2000. He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Alma Bloomer; wife, Cheryl Linda McCord Bloomer, whom he married March 14, 1964. Mr. Bloomer is survived by his 4 children: daughters, Jean Dormier and Cynthia Vandivolrt; and sons, Doug Bloomer and wife, Tammie; and Greg Bloomer and wife, Diana; 9 grandchildren: Jonathan, Justin, Alyson, Reid, Katie, Claire,Victoria, Jacquelynn, Albert, and Nicholas; brother, Robert Bloomer; and many loving nephews and their spouses. Graveside services were held Tuesday afternoon, October 19, 2021 at West Hill Cemetery, Sherman, Texas.
