 West Hill Cemetery Sherman, Texas   Roy O. Worthington, Jr. 25 March 1938 - 16 July 1973 Illinois Staff Sergeant US Air Force Vietnam  Alma Jean Worthington was born March 13, 1944, daughter of A.J. Patterson and Voceal Beck in Sherman, Texas. Having lived in Sherman all her life, she received her education from the Sherman Independent School District and in 1962 graduated from Fred Douglas High School. After graduation, Alma found work in the industrial and janitorial industry, and later in her years became a caregiver. She was passionate about helping others. She loved the Lord with all of her heart and was an active member of Progressive Missionary Baptist Church. She loved singing in the choir with her sister, Beulah, being a member of the usher board and fellowshipping with all of the other members. When she wasn't serving, you could find Alma fishing or bowling, which were her favorite pastimes. Alma Jean gained her wings on Monday, June 21, 2021. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband.
