West Hill Cemetery Sherman, Texas F.T. Sanford 10 September 1836 - 22 April 1913 Frank
F. Sanford [sic], aged 76, died yesterday afternoon at 1802 Richardson
Avenue. Mr. Sanfordm, who was a resident of Missouri, came to
Texas a short time ago, hoping that the climate might benefit his
health, which had been failing for some time. The body was taken
in charge by Undertaker Loudermilk. Mr. Sanford is survived by a
son, W.L. Sanford, a businessman of Sherman, who arrived in Dallas last
night to accompany the body to Sherman this morning. The funeral
will be held in Sherman this afternoon.

Texas, May 22 - The body of W.L. Sanford was buried in West Hill
Cemetery this afternoon.. Services were held at his late
residence,702 North Travis street, conducted by Rev. Forrest Smith,
pastor of the First Baptist Church, assisted by Dr. T.A.Whatron, pastor
of the First Presbyterian Church. The following were pallbearers:
Ross Wilson, Wayne Shearer, Mark Waldrop, Mike Sneed, Ira Meredith,
C.S. Roberts, and Lane Taylor, active; C.B. Dorchester, Joe F. Etter,
T.D. Joiner, Captain W.F. Patty, W.A. Harvey, Felix Nunn, Dick Hopson,
O.D. McReynolds, Colonel C.L. Stowe, C.F. Griffle, John Wharton and
W.H. Lankford, Honorary. Sherman, Texas, January 19 (Sp) - Funeral services for Mrs. W.L. Sanford, 88, who died Saturday in a Sherman hospital after a year illness, are to be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Waldo Chapel. Rev. Arch M. Tolbert, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, officiated, assisted by Dr. T.L. Holcomb of Dallas. Burial was in West Hill Cemetery. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Mary C. Washam of Van Alstyne; two sons, Z.P. Sanford of Independence, Missouri; and W.L. Sanford, Jr. of Dallas; one sister, Mrs. E.H. Hanna of Dallas; 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
