 West Hill Cemetery Sherman, Texas   Bill Savage 1932 - 2011 The Herald Democrat September 5, 2011 Sherman - Graveside funeral services for Bill Leon Savage were held Tuesday afternoon, September 6, 2011 in the Veteran's Section of West Hill Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home. Mr. Savage, 79, passed away Saturday, September 3, 2011 at Texoma Medical Center. Bill was born September 2, 1932 in Iowa. He was a veteran of the US Army and worked as an operator of heavy equipment for many years. He was a master of large machines, fishing, and gardening. In 2002 Bill and Laquita June Parker were married in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Mr. Savage is survived by his brother, LeRoy Savage and wife, Marie Reynolds of Edmond, Oklahoma; one daughter, Kathy Lansford and husband, Gary, of Sherman; and 3 grandchildren, Obie, Leonard and Jenny Lansford, all of Austin. He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Laquita. Bill will be fondly remembered as being a nice guy.
