 James Haydon Savage 1923 - 1943 The Denison Press Friday, July 9, 1943 pg. 7 SHERMAN MAN KILLED IN BUS WRECK J.H. Savage, well known Sherman man, and who had many friends in Denison, who was killed in a bus accident near Corsicana Saturday, was buried in his home town Monday. One other person was killed and 33 were injured in the accident when the bus side swiped concrete pillars. The driver, who escaped, said something went wrong with the steering gear, it is stated by county officers who helped drag bodies from the wreckage.
