Following a sudden stroke of paralysis, Mrs. Eva Cox, formerly of Sherman, passed away at her home in Dallas Saturday afternoon at 2:10 o'clock, aged 64 years.
Mrs. Cox was the widow of the late Zenas Cox, and was the daughter of Rev. and Mrs. John Tatum, for many years residents of this county.  Mrs. Cox had lived in Dallas for about 10 years and had also resided in Waco, after leaving Sherman.
The remains were shipped to this city for burial, arriving over the H. & T.C. Monday morning at 11 o'clock.  Services were held direct from the Union Passenger Station, with interment in West Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Cox is survived by 3 daughters, Mrs. J.V. Smith and Mrs. Chas. V. Moore, of Dallas; and Mrs. J. Brookshire, of Ft. Worth.  She was an aunt of Mrs. J.R. Sanders of this city.
Among the out-of-town relatives who attended the services were Mrs. R.L. Wooten, of Amarillo, niece; Mr. and Mrs. Gus Groyes and family and T.C. and W. Gaskill of Denison.
Rev. B.F. Tatum of Merkle was a brother and Mrs. Martha Stowe of Pottsboro a sister.
