West Hill Cemetery Sherman, Texas Robert Coleman 1839 - 1921 The Denison Herald Sunday, October 16, 1921 pg. 7 Evidently realizing that death was approaching Robert Coleman, 82 years old, who died of natural causes at 9 o'clock last night at the home of his niece, Mrs. John Higson, 315 W. Crawford street, had already made complete arrangements for his funeral. Thought he had been failing for 3 weeks, he was in bed only a week. Mr. Coleman was born in Canada October 10, 1839, and came to Texas nearly 50 years ago as a salesman. He retired about 40 years ago and spent the remainder of the time at Sherman and Denison. Until his death her death 2 years ago his wife kept a rooming house at 315 W. Crawford, in the home now occupied by Mr. and Mrs. Higson. He left orders to have his body removed by S.M. Scott & Co., undertakers at Sherman, to that city immediately upon his death. The body was taken there last night after Judge J.C. Woodward viewed the body. Mr. Coleman had had his clothes laid out several days previous and sometime ago purchased a casket and a burial lot in West Hill Cemetery at Sherman. The funeral will be held from the home of his friend, Jim Willis, 224 W. Lamar street, Sherman, Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The services at the grave will be in charge of the Odd Fellows lodge at Sherman.
