 West Hill Cemetery Sherman, Texas  Billie Jean Stsephenson passed away March 2, 2021 at the age of 87. She was born in Sherman, Texas on September 12, 1933, the only child of Bill and Winnie Milam. She married J.D. Stephenson in 1951. She resided in Southmayd, Texas for 56 years where she was the first recipient of the Citizen of the Year award. She was of the Baptist faith and attended Southmayd Baptist Church for many years. She was an avid reader, loved crossword puzzles and games of all kinds, especially 42 and Skipbo. She was preceded in death by her parents; and son-in-law, Tom Richardson. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Richardson, of Tom Bean, Texas; and son, Jay Stephenson and wife, June, of Howe, Texas; and grandson, Ryan Richardson of Sherman, Texas; and granddaughter, Lauren Cashion and husband, Wade; great-grandchildren, Caleb, Mollee and Charlie of Valley View; special friends, Dorothy Henderson of Lindale, Texas over 80 years; and Inez Mullins of Sherman, Texas over 50 years. Gravesdie services were held Thursday afternoon, March 4, 2021 at West Hill Cemetery, Sherman with Wade Cashion officiating.
