 West Hill Cemetery Sherman, Texas  Michael Wayne Polk was born July 23, 1952 in Sherman, Texas, son of Rev. Arlie Polk, Sr. and Betty Winchester Polk. Michael attended school in Sherman, Texas and graduated from Sherman High School in 1970. He touched the lives of many during his 20 years of service as a custodian at Washington Elementary with Sherman ISD. Michael is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Larry Polk; and niece, Veronica Polk. Michael is survived by his daughter, Ashley Polk; sister, Rev. Debra Ikenyei of Tom Bean; brother, Arlie Polk, Jr. of Sherman; brother, Noble Polk, Sr. and wife, Anita, of Sherman; sister, Rev. Alice of Sherman; sister, Rev. Alice Blanton and husband, Wayne, of Tyler; nieces, Tiffany Polk, Brandy McQueen, Kisha Hunter; Vanessa Hutner, Brittany Spencer, Bethany Ikenyei and Kiara Polk; and nephew, Noble Polk, Jr. and wife, Shatoja; and numerous great-nieces and nephews. Michael W. Polk, 68, ascended to his eternal home Sunday, November 22, 2020 at Texoma Medical Center following a short illness. Graveside rites were held Wednesday morning, November 25, 2020 in West Hill Cemetery with his sister, Minister Alice Blanton, officiating.
