 West Hill Cemetery Sherman, Texas Sherman Daily Democrat Friday, August 30, 1912 pg. 1 John Barrett of Francis, Oklahoma, died this morning at 4:30 o'clock at the sanitarium after a continued illness since early in July. He was brought to the sanitarium Saturday, August 19th, and Sunday underwent an operation for gallstones. He was 36 years of age and is survived by his father and 5 brothers. His wife and child died several years ago. He was a farmer by occupation and resided about 2 miles north of Francis. T.K. Barrett, the father, J.T., C.B. and S.B. Barrett also reside at Francis. The deceased had lived in Oklahoma about 7 years and previously had resided in Parker and Tarrant counties. The body was taken in charge by Haynes & Sporer, funeral directors, prepared for burial and was interred at West Hill cemetery this morning at 11 o'clock.
