West Hill Cemetery Sherman, Texas Zeblen Caraway 25 September 1915 - 20 December 1973 Texas Staff Sergeant US Army WWII The Herald Democrat December 1-2, 2011 Denison - Lyndell Caraway Odle, 89, passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2011 at Emeritus of Stonebridge Rance in McKinney, Texas. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon, December 2, 2011 at Bratcher Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roy Spore officiating. Burial followed at West Hill Cemetery in Sherman, Texas. Mrs. Odle was born in Whitesboro, Grayson Co., Texas on November 17, 1922, daughter of Robert Stiles and Minnie Allen Stiles. She was a member of Waples Memorial United Methodist Church in Denison; a graduate of Whitesboro High School and Wilson N. Jones Hospital school of nursing as a registered nurse. She served as a 1st Lieutenant in the Army Nursing Service, having duty in the USA and the European theater during World War II. On February 7, 1947, she married Zeb Caraway. After 25 years of marriage, Zeb passed away. She later married Charles Odle, who is also deceased. She was director of nurses at Grayson County Health Department and director of Red River Health Services until retirement in 1984. She is survived by sons, Jim Caraway and wife, Shayne, of Blue Ridge, Texas; and Steve Caraway of Richardson, Texas; grandchildren, Mat Caraway, Joey Currington, Jay Currington, Nicolle Caraway, Catherine Sheffield, Michael Caraway; and great-grandchild, Collin Sheffield. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Waples Memorial United Methodist Church, 830 W. Main St., Denison, Texas 75020. Arrangements were entrusted to Bratcher Funeral Home in Denison, Texas.
