- Funeral services for Elvia Munoz were held Thursday afternoon,
October 27, 2016 at Waldo Funeral Home. Deacon Albert Miller of
St. Mary's Catholic Church officiated. Burial followed in West
Hill Cemetery with Kevin Antwine, Wade Kennedy, Joe Munoz, and Victor
Munoz serving as honorary pallbearers. Mrs. Munoz, 82, passed
away Sunday, October 23, 2016 at Paris Regional Medical Center, Elvira was born February 13, 1934 in Geronimo, Texas, daughter of Reynaldo and Anita Compos Martinez. Mrs. Munoz was a devoted homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, and tending to her flowers. She will be remembered as a God-fearing woman who was always willing to help others. She was a member of St. Berenardino Catholic Church in Dallas. Mrs. Munoz is survived by 3 sons, Victor Munoz of Seattle, Washington; Joe Munoz and wife, Adrian, of Damascus, Maryland; and Michael Antony Munoz and wife, Bethany, of Sherman; 2 daughters, Vera Lewis and husband, Kevin Antwine, of Antlers, Oklahoma; and Frances Kennedy and husband, Wade, of Tioga; 5 grandchildren, Steve Hilbert, Lisa Hilbert, Anna Marie Kennedy, Joseph Munoz, and Jennifer Munoz; 8 great-grandchildren, Issabella, Roman, Isiah, Ian, Isaiah, Josslynn, Luke and Jackson; 2 sisters, Hortensia Martinez and Henrietta Martinez, both of San Antonio; and numerous other family members.
