 West Hill Cemetery Sherman, Texas James P. Morgan Dies, Burial in West Hill Funeral services were held Monday afternoon in Waldo Funeral Home Chapel for James Preston Morgan, 85, retired paint and paper contractor, who died Sunday morning in the home of his daughter, Mrs. B.E. Stefflemire, 929 N. Maxey. Rev. J.T. Crawford, pastor of Church of Nazarene, officiated. Pallbearers were Joe Wrought, E.O. Ingram, Harry Morgan, Ollie Blankenship, R.E. Ruffin and Melvin Jobe. Burial was in West Hill Cemetery, Born in Tennessee September 18, 1871, Mr, Morgan came to Sherman in 1926. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Morgan. He retired in 1947 because of ill health. Survivors are one son, Walter Morgan of Sherman; 2 daughters, Mrs. Stefflemire and Mrs. W.A. Simpson of Cumby; brother, Bob Morgan, of Caddo, Oklahoma; 23 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.
