 West Hill Cemetery Sherman, Texas   Ronce Morgan, Jr. 16 November 1923 - 21 January 2013 BM1 US Navy WWII  The Herald Democrat January 23, 2013 Sherman - Mr. Ronce Morgan, Jr., 89, of Sherman, Texas, passed from this life on Monday, January 21, 2013 at the Texoma Healthcare Center in Sherman. He was born to Ronce Morgan, Sr. and Janie Southerland Morgan on November 16, 1923 in Sherman. He was married to Ruth Hamilton on November 25, 1945 in Sherman; and she survives him. Mr. Morgan was a lifetime resident of this area and a member of West Sherman Baptist Church in Sherman, and served as a Music Director. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, the Shriners and a World War II Pearl Harbor Veteran; he was a 1st Class Boatswain's Mate in the U.S. Navy. Returning from military service, he worked in construction as a builder. Surviving him are his wife, Ruth Morgan; and 2 daughters, Treasea Britton and husband, Clifford, of Duncanville, Texas and Cynthia Anderson and husband Duane of Buchanan Dam, Texas. There are 3 grandchildren, Andrea Reynolds and Cody of Dallas; Jennifer Quinone and Jorge of Frisco; and January Howell and Walker of Kerrville, Texas. He has 4 great-grandchildren and 4 foster great-grandchildren; 5 nephews; and many other relatives and a host of friends. He is also survived by sister-in-law, Florence Morgan, of Colton, California. Preceding him in death were his parents; 9 brothers and sistesrs. A graveside service was held on Thursday afternoon, January 24, 2013 at West Hill Cemetery in Sherman with Danny Wood officiating. Honorary pallbearers were Ted Jordon, Raymond Jordon, Clifford Britton, and Duane Anderson. American Funeral Services in Denison had charge of all arrangements.
