Elsie died Thursday at Shady Oaks Nursing Center. Services for Elsie Pierce were held Saturday morning at Waldo Funeral Chapel. Elsie was an 88-year-old retired sales clerk of Sherman. Rev. Bob Walker of Key Memorial Methodist church officiated. Burial was in West Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Pierce was born in Grayson County, daughter of F.M. and Lettie Pinkston and attended Grayson county schools. On December 24, 1936 she married Sidney A. Pierce in Colbert, Oklahoma. She was employed by Pool Manufacturing Co. for several years and later worked at J.C. Penney's as sale clerk until her retirement in 1964. She had been a member of Sherman Rebekah Lodge, Key Memorial Methodist Church and the 42 Club. Survivng are her brothers, Lewis Pinkston of Sherman; and Horace Pinkston of Whitesboro; and a sister, Irene Howard of Sherman. Pallbearers were nephews - Harold Pinkston, Jerry Pinkston, Nick Anderson, Bill Jones, Earl Lehr and Tommy Lehr. Memorial may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
