West Hill Cemetery Sherman, Texas The Herald Democrat February 17-19, 2019 The Lord called Blake Michael Halk, 23, to his heavenly home Thursday, February 14, 2019 in Denison, Texas. Blake was born November 24, 1995 in Sherman, Texas, son of Carla Warren Crain and Chey Halk. He graduated from Sherman High School, Class of 2014. He loved dirt bike racing, video games, and rap music, especially Eminem. He was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan. Blake touched the lives of many people with his smile, courage, kind loving heart and nature, and his love of life. Although his passing leaves a void in all of our lives, he will live on forever in our hearts. Blake leaved behind his parents, Carla and Jason Crain of Denison; sister, Paige Halk of Denison; brother, Cyeon Halk of Denison; biological father, Chey Halk, of Denison; grandmother, Lynda Papol of Sherman; grandmother, Dianne Crain of Denison; great-grandmother, Donna Evans of Bells, Texas; aunt, Amanda Papol of Denison; uncle, Christopher Papol and wife, Dena Canady, of Denison; step-brothers, Corie Watson of Denison and Chris Crain of Denison; step-sisters, Chastiana Crain of Denison and Carley Crain of Colbert, Oklahoma; and many loving cousins. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, February 19, 2019 at Fisher Funeral Chapel with Alysha Haskins officiating. Blake was laid to rest in West Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were Corie Watson, Trevor Raney, Nathaniel Haskins and Shelby Williams. Arrangements were under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home in Denison.
