 West Hill Cemetery Sherman, Texas   Bryant E. Winkels, 83, entered into eternal life Thursday, January 31, 2019 at Texoma Healthcare Center. Mr. Winkels was born March 20, 1935 in Hamlin, Texas, son of Alfred and Sybil Alexander Winkels. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Air Force. On November 6, 2015 he married Caroline Thomison in Pottsboro, Texas. Bryant was a member of Pottsboro Church of Christ. He owned and rode his Harley Davidson around the country. such as Sturgis, South Dakota and Arizona. Mr. Winkels is survived by his family - wife, Caroline Winkels of Sherman, Texas; children; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and numerous family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Doyle Thurman and Dwight Winkels. Funeral services were held Monday morning, February 4, 2019 at Fisher Funeral Chapel with ministers Bob Sholl and Kevin Shimp officiating. Interment with military honors followed in West Hill Mausoleum in Sherman, Texas. Pallbearers were Joey Holmes, John McKelva, Wes Howard. Austin Hudgeons, Jimmy Antrich, Chris Drake, and Don Callaham. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his name to Pottsboro Church of Christ Building Fund, 522 FM 120, Pottsboro, Texas 75076. Arrangements were under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home in Denison.
