Harris 9 May 1922 - 4 July 2000 PFC US Army WWII  The Herald Democrat October 21, 2010 Sherman - Funeral services for Nelle Marie Harris, 79, were held October 22, 2010 at the Waldo Funeral Home Chapel in Sherman. Burial followed at West Hill Cemetery. Former pastor Irby McKnight of Harvest Time Assembly of God Church and Resident Pastor Jeff Davis of Victory Life of Sherman officiated. She passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at the Homestead of Sherman. Nelle was born March 15, 1931 in Plainview, daugther of Otto Howard and Noreen Sirkel. She married Claude E. Harris October 14, 1948 in Bonham. Nelle was a member of Harvest Time Assembly of God Church. She was employed for One Hour Martinizing for over 30 years. She is survived by daughter, Karla Brown and husband, Terry, of Sherman; two grandchildren, Robert Brown and Kristen Brown, also of Sherman; one great-grandchild, Trent Parham of Van Alstyne; one brother, Freddie Lee Howard and wife Velvie of Sallisaw, Oklahoma; one sister, Martha West and husband, Jesse, of Sherman; sister-in-law, Eloise Howard of Sherman; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband and brother Harold Gene Howard. Pallbearers were Jeffrey West, Bradley West, Spencer West, Tim Randolph, Michael Howard, and Jeff Hannah.
