The Howe Enterprise Thursday, November 12, 1970 pg. 2 Services were held at Waldo Chapel for Mrs. Kate May Hollensed, formerly of Tom Bean, who died in a Dallas hospital Sunday. Officiating was Rev. J.A. Peveto of Dallas. Burial was in West Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Hollensed wasborn October 19, 1880 in Grayson County, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Hicks. She was married to John W. Hollensed in February of 1900. Mr. Hollensed died December 12, 1958. She had lived in the Tom Bean area most of her life, moving to Dallas in 1962. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors are one son, J.D. Hollensed of Sherman; four daughters, Miss Louise Hollensed, Mrs. Mamie Paulk and Mrs. R.B. Workman, all of Dallas; and Mrs. Maurine Dishner of Indianapolis, Indiana; five sisters, Mrs. Francis Reid and Mrs. Bernice Denton, both of Sherman; Mrs. Inez Jonte of Dallas; Mrs. Martha Chandler of Lawton, Oklahoma; and Mrs. Alice Caylor of Ft. Worth; 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
