June 13, 1993 A-20 SHERMAN - Funeral for Amanda Katherine Thompson, 84, who died June 11, 1993 at a Sherman hospital, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Dannel Funeral Home chapel. The Rev. W.E. McGruder of the Progressive Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery. Thompson was born Aug. 12, 1908 in Grayson County. She was the daughter of Bob and Myrtle Crowell. She attended Sherman Public Schools and was later married to Earl Cleo Thompson. She was for many years, a presser for the Texas Laundry Co. She was a member of First Pentecostal Church. Survivors include a son, Bobby Thompson of Sherman; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and eight step-great-grandchildren.
