Lockler 16 August 1923 - 29 March 2011 wed 20 April 1946  The Herald Democrat March 22 & 24, 2011 Sherman - Robert Lockler, 87, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2011 at Methodist Hospital in Dallas. Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Thursday at West Hill Cemetery in Sherman with Rev. Albert Fisher officiating. Mr. Lockler was born August 16, 1923 in Bryan Co., Oklahoma, son of Jim and Senith Langston Lockler. Robert and Wynema Pruiett married April 20, 1946 in Denison, Texas. He served his country proudly as a medic in the U.S. Army during World War II in New Guinea and the Philippines. After serving he went to work for Montgomery Ward. Later with over 40 years of service, he retired as service manager. He was a member of Key Memorial Methodist Church. Mr. Lockler is survived by his daughter, Sherrie Walton and husband, Paul Sr., of Denison; 4 grandsons - Paul Walton, Jr. and wife Stephanie, of Denison; Rick Milner and wife Trisha of Bells; Keith Milner of Sherman; and Robbie Milner and wife, Ladonna, of Whitesboor; and 9 great-grandchildren. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, wife; daughter, Sandra Weber; and sisters Dolly and Nina.
