 The Herald Democrat May 29, 2011 Sherman - Janet "Kiki" Kolb, 92, of Sherman, passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2011, at her residence. Arrangements were under the direction of Dannel Funeral Home. Funeral services were held Saturday, May 28, 2011 at First United Methodist Church, with Dr. Tom Peel officiating. Interment was in West Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Kolb was born in Dallas on March 13, 1919 to Joseph Alexander and Robbie Williams Munro. She was educated in the public schools of Dallas. Janet married Chauncey Clay Kolb on August 20, 1941 in Rockwall, Texas. She worked for many years as a secretary to the Vice President at Grayson County State Bank until she retired. Mrs. Kolb was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Sherman and helped establish and served on several committees and church projects over the years. She also served on the Board of Directors of Sherman Public Library and held memberships in the Iris Club, the Sherman Garden Club, and the Sherman Literary Club. Janet was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. She is survived by two daughters, Sherry Burgess and husband, Tony, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; andVicki Rowland and husband, Robert, of Sherman; five grandchildren, Joseph Running, Sandra Watson, Melalnie Burger, Ronnie B. Rowland, and Rhonda Rowland; and 8 great-great-grandchildren, Joe Running, Audrey Running, Jackson Running, Sarah Running, Daniel Bulger, Aeriel Bulger, Ronnie T. Rowland, and Taylor Rowland. Pallbearers were Joe Running, III, Joe Running, IV, Jackson Running, Ronnie B. Rowland, Doug Aumock, and Ronnie T. Roland. Memorials may be made to the CARE Team at First United Methodist Church, Home Hospice of Grayson County, and Sherman/Grayson County Crisis Center.
