Borger News Herald August 10, 1977 Sherman - Cecil A. Jacobs, 71, a former Borger resident, died at 11:40 a.m. Tuesday. Services were Thursday in the Waldo Funeral Chapel. Burial followed in West Hill Cemetery. Mr. Jacobs was born June 21, 1906 in Coal Hill, Arkansas. He married Eloise Price September 11, 1936 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. He was an executive for Phillips Petroleum Co. for 25 years and was a member of the Sherman Lions Club and the Borger First Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his wife; two daughers, Mrs. Susan Harris of Plano and Jeanne Jacobs of Garland; one sister, Pauline Walker of Lubbock; two aunts and four grandchildren. Mr. Jacobs lived at 820 N. Sam Rayburn. The family suggests that memorials be made to the heart fund or a charity of your choice.
