7 June 1943 - 17 April 1998 PFC US Army Vietnam Sherman Democrat January 21, 1992 pg.A10 Services for Russel Hinsley, 76-year-old Sherman resident, will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Dannel Funeral Chapel. He died Saturday at Wilson N. Jones Hospital. The Rev. Melvin James, pastor of the First Assembly of God Church, will officiate. Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery. Mr. Hinsley was born in McKinney, the son of Roenzo Dow Hinsley and Julia Taylor Hinsley, and attended Collin County schools. On December 24, 1927, he married Emma Lois Willmon in Callahan County. He worked for H.L. Hunt Oil Company as a pumper until he retired, and was a member of the Assembly of God church. Among his survivors are sons, Russel Hinsley, Charles Dewayne Hinsley and R.D. Hinsley, all of Sherman; Gary Allen Hinsley of Colorado Springs, Colorado; John Hinsley and David Kenneth Hinsley, both of Haltom City, and Harold Hinsley of Tulsa, Oklahoma; daughters, .....
