Gunter - Graveside services for Vesta "B" Brooks, 84, of Gunter were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 8, in West Hill Cemetery in Sherman. She died Monday, Aug. 5, 2002, at Hilltop Haven in Gunter. The Rev. Scott Jordan officiated. Surviving are her sisters, Mary Orenduff of Melissa, Janette Earl of Dallas and Wynelle Ferner of Palmdale, Calif.; and brothers, Harold Day of Burbank, Calif. and Martin Day of Sequim, Wash.
