 Lella R. Strother 1868 - 1950 Sherman Daily Democrat Saturday, April 10, 1915 pg. 4 Mrs. Ann Eliza Rountree died this morning at 6:20 o'clock at her residence, 1100 South Walnut Street, after a long illness. She was born November 17, 1832 in Huntington, Tennessee, came to Texas in 1846, settling at Huntsville, Texas, where she married Major Leonidas C. Rountree; they moved to Galveston in 1867. After the death of Major Rountree she moved with her family in 1878 to Sherman. Mrs. Rountree was the mother of eight children and is survived by the following who were with her at the time of her death: Mrs. M.R. Wiggins; Mrs. F.C. Dillard; Mrs. Geo. W. Byers; Mrs. L.R. Strotner; Miss I.L. Rountree; and C.C. Rountree. The funeral will take place Sunday afternoon, April 11th, at 3 o'clock, from the residence. Burial in West Hill Cemetery.
