 West Hill Cemetery Sherman, Texas   Dock Stone 30 August 1895 - 4 July 1970 Private US Army  Thomas Leonard Stone 1950 - 2012  The Herald Democrat May 17, 2012 Sherman - Services to celebrate the life of Thomas Stone, 62, were held Friday morning at Waldo Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Clint Dansby officiating. Interment followed at west Hill Cemetery. Thomas was born February 28, 1950 in Sherman, son of Doc Stone and Dora Rooker Stone and passed from this life on Monday, May 14, 2012 at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital-WNJ. Mr. Stone grew up in Sherman and served with the Marine Corps in Vietnam from 1968 to 1972. Thomas was a handyman, working as a carpenter and master electrician. He took great pride in his work. He loved the outdoors and being with his grandkids. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents; one brother; and 3 sisters. He is survived by his sons, Christopher Stone of Sherman; Anthony Stone and Paula McClure of Sherman; Damon Stone and wife, Amy, of Denison; sisters, Linda Thompson of Ft. Worth; and Dora of Oklahoma; grandchildren, Hunter, Hanna and Bailey Stone; Myra, Jesesica, Lizset, and Avellin Delgado; Alex and Isaiah Ramirez; Drayton and Damien McClure; several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Damon Stone, Ray Rivera, Mikel Rivera, Eric Walker, Johnny Rangel and Donny Rangel. Services were under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home.
