West Hill Cemetery Sherman, Texas A beautiful baby girl, Mattie Mae Stone, was born to Mr. Elmore and Mrs. Johnetter Stone. She was a graduate of Fred Douglas High School. Later in life she married Mr. John H. Cooper and they were blessed with 2 children. She loved working in her church where she was a very faithful Sunday School attendant, Missionary, Choir, Prayer Warrior and Stewardess Board. She was employed at Texas Instruments for 25 years. Left to cherish her memories are husband; son, Ricky Don Cooper (Carol); grandchildre, John; daughter, Sylvia Cooper-Lewis; grandchildren, Steven, Jr., Jaylon, LaVonda, RaShonda, and Daniel; brother, Johnny L. Stone (Geraldine); 3 great-grandchildren; and a host of newphes, nieces, cousins and in law. Preceded in her death were her parents; brothers, John W. Boyd, Sr., Horace A. Boyd, Sr.; sister, James Etter Stone-Scruggs. Mattie M. Cooper ascended to her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Texoma Medical Center, Denison, at the age of 83, following a lengthy illness. The Homecoming Celebration was Saturday, July 28 in the Daniel House of Deliverance, Sherman at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Linda Bell officiating. Burial followed in West Hill Cemetery, Sherman. Services were entrusted to James E. Smith and the professionals of Waldo Funeral Home. John H. Cooper, 87, of Sherman ascended to his eternal home Friday, January 21, 2022 at his residence following an extended illness. John Henry Cooper was born January 17, 1935, son of Mr. Jasper and Mrs. Erman Cooper. He was a graduate of Fred Douglas High School. Later in life he married Mrs. Mattie Mae Stone and they were blessed with 2 children. He joined Daniel-Gray C.M.E. Church (Daniel House of Deliverance C.M.E. Church). He was a faithful member of his church and sung in the Men's Choir. When needed he was always willing to help. He worked at Wilson N. Jones Hospital for 47 years as a ORT in the surgery department. Left to cherish his memories are his sister, Mrs. Linda Daniel and husband, David of Plano, Texas; son, Ricky D. Cooper and wife, Carol; daughter, Sylvia L Lewis; grandchildren: Jaylon Lewis, LaVonda Lewis, RaShonda Galloway and husband, Tyree; Daniel Lewis and John Cooper; great-grandson, Neyomiah Galloway; and great-granddaughter, Tyriana Galloway, all of Sherman, Texas; aunt, Odelia Parker of Denison, Texas; and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and in-laws. He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; brothers, Raymond Cooper, Samuel Cooper, Nathaniel Cooper, and Leodis Cooper. Funeral services were held Wednesday morning, January 26, 2022 in the Daniel House of Deliverance CME Church. Rev. A. Johnson was the Host Pastor. Burial followed in West Hill Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to James E.
