MRS. E.A. MILLER DEAD
Passed Away at her Home on South Travis Street Last Night
Another pioneer Grayson County woman was called to her reward in the passing of Mrs. E.A. Miller, who answered the last summons at 12:50 o'clock last night.  She had been ill for some time and the last several days her death was momentarily expected.  Nevertheless the end proved a great shock to the loving children and friends who had watched beside her, hoping against hope that she would get better and be returned to them.
Nothwithstanding the fact that everything that was possible was done, the summons came and she was ready.
Mrs. Miller was 78 years of age and had resided in Grayson county since 1887, coming from her native state, Kentucky, to Whitewright.  In 18-7, she came to Sherman with her family.
She is survived by the following sons and daughters: G.D. Miller of Sherman; J.E. Miller of Sherman; J.P. Miller of Los Angeles, California; A.M. Miller of Sherman; W.P. Miller of Oklahoma City; T.O. Miller of Roy, New Mexico; Mrs. Emma L. Brame of Louisville, Kentucky; Mrs. ?.H. McIntyre of Arkansas; Miss Bettie Miller of Sherman.
The following brother and sisters also survive her: Mrs. M.C. Burks of Boliver, Missouri; Mrs. C.A. Johnsons of Austin; G.W. Moore of Baker, Missouri; and H.A. Moore of Mocker, Oklahoma.
Funeral services were held this afternoon at 2 o'clock at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. G.D. Miller, No. 1012 South Travis street, conducted by Rev. Forrest Smith, pastor of the First Baptist Church.  Interment was in West Hill Cemetery.
The death of Mrs. Miller will be learned with deep regret by many friends of the family.  Her husband died many years ago.  She had been married 60 years on March 1 and had been a consistent member of the Baptist Church for more than 60 years.  She has reared a splendid family, each of them taking a place of importance in the social and business life of the communities where they reside.  They have sustained a severe blow in the death of their mother but her example has always been one to which they can refer with pride and follow with profit.  They have the sympathy of all in their bereavement.
