 West Hill Cemetery Sherman, Texas  Betty Scruggs 1950 - 2010  The Herald Democrat August 27, 2010 Sherman - Betty Jean Scruggs, 60-year-old Sherman resident, passed away Saturday, August 21, 2010 at Texas Health Presbyterian-WNJ in Sherman. Services were held Saturday, August 28 in the Carrie White Chapel at Angelic Mortuary in Sherman with Elder Robert Softly officiating. Burial followed in West Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Scruggs was born April 23, 1950 in Sherman, daughter of Marion Gray Mickens and Mildred Scruggs Wilson. She attended Fred Douglass High School. She was formerly employed as a nurse's aide for Capital Care and also worked for Western Sizzler Steakhouse. Surviving are her mother of Sherman; her father of Sherman; brothers, Morris D. Scruggs, Joe B. Scruggs and Pat Scruggs, all of Sherman; and sisters, Arlene M. Jones and Mallory Simmons, both of Sherman.
