 West Hill Cemetery Sherman, Texas Sherman Daily Democrat Sunday, December 24, 1922 pg.3 FORMER SHERMAN MAN DIES AT HUGO, OKLAHOMA; BURIAL HERE S.T. Thompson, formerly of Sherman, died in Hugo, Oklahoma, where he had been residing the past 8 years, Thursday afternoon at the age of 74 years. The remains arrived in Sherman Saturday morning for interment here. Funeral services were conducted from the chapel of the Stewart M. Scott Undertaking Company at 11 o'clock Saturday morning, conducted by Rev. C.A. Spragins, pastor of Travis Street Methodist Church. Burial was in West Hill Cemetery. Mr. Thompson resided in Sherman for many years before removing to Hugo. His wife died here in 1914. Surviving him are 3 daughters and 4 sons. They are: I.H. Thompson and Mrs. Mamie Godwin of Hugo, Oklahoma; G.W. Thompson of Coalgate, Oklahoma; and Sil Thompson of Ardmore, Oklahoma, who accompanied the remains here; Mrs. A.M. Snyder of Oklahoma City; Mrs. Linnisay of Brady, Texas; and Mrs. Rush Lee of Hart, Oklahoma.
