 West Hill Cemetery Sherman, Texas  Sherman - James Arlie Howard, 75, passed away Wednesday, March 15 at the Woodlands Place. He was born September 29, 1941 in New Castle, Indiana, son of Berchett and Lillian Sawkill Howard. He married Linda Kay Lowry November 26, 1965 in Sherman. James served 22 years in the United States Air Force and later worked as a truck driver. He is survived by two sons, Kevin Howard of Whitesboro and Keith Howard of Sherman; daughter, Krista Rowell and husband, David, Jr., of Sherman; nine grandchildren; two sisters, Donna Jean Thurman of New Castle, Indiana and Kathryn Maynard of Bourbon, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and two brothers. Private graveside services with military honors were held at West Hill Cemetery.
