Hobbs 16 October 1907 - 1 January 1976  Sherman - Funeral services for Vivian Hobbs, 92, of Sherman were held Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at the West Hill Cemetery with Rev. David Petrash officiating and services under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home. Vivian passed away December 14, 2008 at the Whitesboro Nursing Center. She was born January 12, 1916 in Sherman, daughter of E.C. Riley, Sr. and May Martin. Vivian graduated from Sherman High School and married Linsey Haskell Hobbs on July 4, 1936. Vivian taught two and three year children for several years at Key Memorial Church; she also served as a volunteer for Key Memorial Care Center. She is survived by her daughter, Lyndall Wilcoxon and husband, Luther, of Sherman; one granddaughter, Kelly Wilcoxon Hall of Sherman; one great-granddaughter, Shelby Hall, of Sherman; brother, E.C. Riley, Jr. of Sherman.
