West Hill Cemetery Sherman, Texas The Herald Democrat November 21, 2013 Sherman - Funeral services for Jennie Hill were held Saturday, November 23, 2013 at the Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, Sherman; burial followed in West Hill Cemetery, Sherman. Jennie was born June 24, 1939 in Chicago, the fifth of eight children born to Rev. Charles Fuller and Erie Powell. Her parents moved to the suburbs of Robbins, Illinois; she attended grade school and high school in Blue Island, Illinois. She later took business courses at Olive Harvey College in Chicago. On July 6, 1957 she married Kenneth L. Hill at St. John Community Church where her father was the founder and pastor; she and Kenneth were married 49 years upon his death in June 3, 2006; to this union were born three sons, Derek Alan, Michael Kevin and Kenneth Brian. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Fuller, Jr. and David Fuller. Jennie was employed at Illinois Bell Telephone Company as a long distance operator until 1961. After raising her sons, she returned to work at Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago as an administrative secretary. They moved to Sherman in 1992. She was an active and charter member of Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church of Sherman where she served as secretary and other capacities. Surviving her are her sons, Derek (Debbra) of Chicago, Michael of Sherman, and Kenneth B. (Carolyn) of Chicago; one grandson, Bryson Derek Hill; brothers, H. Louis Fuller (Jackie) of Phoenix, Illinois and Paul D. Fuller of Cartersville, Georgia; sisters, Barbara J. Clark (Larry) of Glendale, Arizona; Brenda L. Payne (James) of Chicago; and Betty Fuller-Davis of Chicago; special cousin, Lavonna Allen of Gahanna, Ohio; sisters-in-law, Inez Hill (John), Mabel Tyler (Ernest, Jr.), James Hill (James), and Beverly Hill (William).
