 West Hill Cemetery Sherman, Texas  Clyde Udell Marr 17 December 1931 - 11 August 2012 Betty Roberts Marr 1 January 1931 - 10 June 2023 wed 3 July 1949  Betty Dean Marr, 92, of Sherman passed peacefully from this life, Saturday, June 10, 2023 in Denison. She was born January 1, 1931 in Leonard, Texas, daughter of Roy F. and Mary A. Murrell Roberts. Betty was a 1950 graduate of Sherman High School. On July 3, 1949 she married her high school sweetheart, Clyde U. Marr, in Sherman. They were married for 63 years. She owned and operated Marr Delivery Service for many years. Her interests included shopping at estate sales for antique collectibles, sharing the history of Grayson County and of Leonard, Texas, line dancing with her senior citizens group at the SNAP Center, keeping in touch with her classmates - the class of Sherman High School 1950, and spending time with her family. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sister, Merle Reynolds of Mt. Vernon, Texas. She is survived by her son, Larry Marr and wife, Brenda, of Sherman; daughter, Melody Harris and husband, Tim, of Sherman; granddaughter, Gina Marr Hiemstra and husband, Tim, of Vallejo, California; grandson, Colin Harris and wife, Ashley, of Sherman; granddaughter, Lauren Edwards and husband, Justin, of Sherman; and 6 great-grandchildren. Funeral service was held Wednesday afternoon, June 14, 2023 at Waldo Funeral Home. Rev. Paulette Schwarz, her first cousin officiated. Burial was at West Hill Cemetery in Sherman. Pallbearers were Colin Harris, Nevin Marr, Steve Melton, James Pierce, Gayle Adcock and Justin Edwards.
